The Cove Pavillions
- The Boatshed and The Sawmill

Located at the water’s edge, the exterior of our bespoke Cove Pavilions pay homage to the architectural style of the iconic and humble boat shed. These pavilions offer a private waterfront deck with a luxurious cedar hot tub, floor-to-ceiling windows perfectly framing the striking harbour and a cosy feeling of warmth and indulgence, creating the ultimate West Coast experience. Perfect for special occasions. Ideal for one or two guests.

Maugean Suites
- The Barge (ground level) and The Jetty (upstairs)

A stone’s throw from the harbour, our spacious Maugean Suites are ideal for two or more guests, providing breathtaking views across Macquarie Harbour to the historic Strahan township and wharf. Named after the endangered Maugean Skates, an ancient and unique ray only found in Macquarie Harbour and is critically endangered; our Maugean Suites feature a central living area and two separate bedrooms, making these suites ideal for families and small groups. Every stay in one of our beautiful Maugean Suites helps to raise awareness for this magnificent ray to help prevent the Maugean Skate from becoming the world’s first ray species to become extinct in modern times. Ideal for up to four guests.

Our Rainforest Suites showcase the subtle beauty of the adjacent rainforest, whilst you sink into an indulgent cedar hot tub in your private courtyard, perfect for star gazing and listening to the gentle sounds of the rainforest beyond. Ideal for one or two guests.

The Cinema Suite
- The Theatre

A special treat for movie-buffs – or simply for those who’d like a bit of quality indoor time after exploring the West Coast wilderness – The Cinema Suite offers a private ‘cinema’ experience, complete with popcorn and Tasmania’s own Valhalla brand ‘pop-top’ ice creams. A large 75” smart TV, fitted with a true Dolby ATMOS sound bar and surround sound system provides a true cinema style experience. Of course, there’s also plenty of great viewing outdoors as well, with a private covered deck offering stunning marina and harbour vistas.

Centrally located on the ground floor of our main building, our Luxury Suite is spacious and comfortable with a cosy lounge and bioethanol fireplace and a second sunny sitting nook, great for sipping wine or coffee whilst enjoying a mesmerising sunrise or stunning sunset. It features a private deck with spectacular views over our private marina and Macquarie Harbour.

- The Punt and The Beach (full view suites), and The Shack

Commanding the upper floor of Risby Cove’s main building, the balcony suites overlook our private marina and offer sweeping views across Macquarie Harbour towards picturesque Strahan village.

Featuring extensive use of Tasmanian blackwood, interiors evoke nautical design elements, reminiscent of the Age of Sail, while large mullioned windows provide expansive water views. Each suite boasts a spacious lounge/dining area and separate bedroom.
